§ 249 BGB – you must not be left out of pocket
After an accident involving a truck or commercial vehicle the rule is: the party who caused the damage has to restore the position that would exist without the accident. That covers not only the repair costs but also the loss caused by the vehicle being off the road.
With commercially used vehicles that is the decisive point: long periods standing still cost more than the repair. We substantiate loss of use and standby costs so that they can be claimed at all.
Damage to bodies and major incidents
We prepare independent accident damage appraisals for trucks, tractor units, trailers, semi-trailers and vans – including bodies, refrigerated boxes, loader cranes and tail lifts.
The repair costs are calculated to the manufacturers’ specifications. We determine diminished value and repair costs neutrally; if you wish, we handle the negotiation with the insurer as well.

Condition report
What a condition report does for a fleet
The report creates clarity about the actual condition of a vehicle – and with it a basis for decisions: buy, sell, repair or take out of the fleet.
Anyone who knows the weak points early can repair in a targeted way instead of paying twice as much later. And in insurance matters or legal disputes the report serves as evidence.
Why trucks are valued differently from cars
Commercial vehicles are designed for a long service life and heavy loads. Frame, body and drivetrain follow different standards than on a car, and mileage on its own says little about the residual value.
Our commercial vehicle experts assess vehicle, body and optional equipment separately and derive the value from that. Group appointments are possible for fleets – several vehicles in one day, one point of contact.
